Set a Passphrase in the My 8x8 Support Portal

Objective

Set up a passphrase for your My 8x8 Support portal.
If you are a My 8x8 Admin with Editions or X Series services (Admin Console), you can set a passphrase for your account in your My 8x8 Support. This passphrase will be used to confirm your identity when you contact 8x8 Support. For more information on passphrases, see What is my passphrase?

Procedure

Create a Passphrase

  1. Log in to your 8x8 Application panel.
  2. Select My 8x8. 
  3. In the upper right corner, mouse over your username and select My Profile.
  4. Select Edit Profile on the left hand side of the page.
  5. Enter a passphrase in the Pass Phrase field. This should be an alpha-numeric phrase you can easily remember (30 character limit).

  6. Select Save to confirm these changes.

Reset a Passphrase

  1. Log in to the 8x8 Application Panel.
  2. Select My 8x8.
  3. Select Profile > My Profile.
  4. Under Pass Phrase enter the updated passphrase.
