Objective
Power cycle a desk phone. This is just switching the device off and back on again and no settings are changed doing this.
This is not a factory reset which clears the phone of settings and lines being activated. To do that you can follow the guides below.

Procedure
Phones Powered by Ethernet
- Find the ethernet cable on the back of the phone.
- Unplug the cable.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Plug the ethernet cable back in.
- Wait for the phone to power back on.
Phones Powered by an External Power Supply
- Find the Power cable on the back of the phone.
- Unplug the cable.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Plug the Power cable back in.
- Wait for the phone to power back on.
Power Cycle through the Menu
Poly
- Press Home key (looks like a house).
- Go to Settings.
- Select Basic Settings.
- Find and select Restart Phone.
- The phone will now reboot.
Cisco
- Press the Settings key.
- Select Device administration.
- Select Restart.
- Select OK when asked about system reboot.
- The phone will now go through the reboot cycle.
Yealink
- Locate the X (or cancel) key.
- Press and hold the X key until you see a prompt on the screen.
- Press the OK soft key (below the screen) to confirm the reboot.
- Wait for the reboot to complete.
