Changes to Call Recording Link Behavior

Overview

Previously, within 8x8 CRM Integrations such as Salesforce, clicking a link to a call recording would open the QM recording portal. Going forward, clicking the link will open the recording to be played in a new browser tab.

Procedure

To ensure seamless access to your call recordings, you may need to adjust your account's download permissions. 
To enable the correct permissions, you can either use an existing storage Admin role, or create a custom storage role in Admin Console.
Using an existing storage Admin role
  1. Log in to 8x8 Admin Console.
  2. Access the Assignments page.
  3. Assign Storage Admin role to users who require access.
Creating a custom storage role
  1. Log in to 8x8 Admin Console.
  2. Access the Roles page.
  3. Click Create Role.
  4. Select Storage from Application drop-down.
  5. Configure permissions. Download must be allowed.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Access Assignments page.
  8. Assign the new role to users who require access.
