Share Audio in an 8x8 Meeting

Objective

Share audio through a browser tab while in an 8x8 meeting on 8x8 Work for Web or as a Windows user in 8x8 Work for Desktop.

Applies To

  • 8x8 Work for Desktop (Windows only)
  • 8x8 Work for Web
  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge

Procedure

  1. Start a Meeting in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Select Share your screen.
  3. Select Chrome Tab or Microsoft Edge Tab.

  4. Toggle the setting to Also share tab audio.
  5. Select tab for which you would like to share audio.
  6. Select Share.

Additional Information

On macOS the Share Audio option is available when sharing a Chrome or Edge tab.
On Windows the Share Audio option is available when sharing a Chrome tab, Edge tab, or your entire screen.
