Objective
Pairing a Poly Rove handset to an active B2 Base unit.

Procedure
- Press and hold the button at the top of the B2 Base until it starts blinking green.
- On the handset you wish to pair, press the menu button.
- Navigate to Settings > Connectivity > Register.
- Select the first empty slot.
- Enter access/PIN code (The code will either be '0000' or the Pairing PIN listed under the User's Voice Basic Settings in Admin Console).
- Press Ok and the handset should register.
- Repeat steps 2-3 until all handsets are registered.
- Press and hold the button at the top of the B2 Base until it stops blinking and is solid green.
- To double-check that the handset is registered, you can press and immediately release the B2 Base button, and that will start paging all registered handsets.
Alternative steps to pair the handset to the base:
- Factory reset Base.
- Hold the push button for 20 seconds until the light turns solid red.
- Factory reset handset.
- Deregister the handset.
- Initiate a factory reset.
- Press 3 lines.
- Select Settings.
- Select Reset Settings
- Handset may ask for a pin.
- Default PIN: 0000.
- Handset may ask for a pin.
- The base will go through the light cycles, and the handset will be in easy registration.
- Once the base stabilizes, the handset will automatically register.
Known Limitations
- Maximum of five concurrent calls when G722 codec is used on all calls.
- Maximum of four concurrent calls when G729a codec is used on all calls.
- When G722 codec is enabled on the base, even if all calls negotiate to G711 codec, the maximum number of calls is nine.
- SRTP cannot be enabled on this device in Admin Console. If this feature is required, create a case for 8x8 Support to enable it.
- Poly does not yet support SIP Publishes on Rove devices, so no quality metrics will be available in Analytics for 8x8 Work.
