Update a User's Basic information in 8x8 Admin Console

Objective

In Admin Console, edit an existing user's Basic Information, including:
  • First and Last Name*
  • Email Address*
  • Username*
  • Site*
  • Language
  • Time Zone
  • Contact Directory options
  • Job Title
  • Department
  • Address
  • Personal Contact Number
*These fields are required to complete a user's information.

Procedure

Changes to Username and Email should not be made on your account's original or primary administrator profile! For more information see Can I change the primary administrator in 8x8 Admin Console?
Note: Only system administrators can log in to Admin Console to make these changes.
  1. Log in to your 8x8 Application Panel.
  2. Select Admin Console.
  3. Select Users.
  4. Locate the user you wish to edit and select Edit (pencil icon).
  5. The first section of the page is for Basic information. Make any needed changes in the fields. Be sure that information is entered into all required fields.
  6. At the bottom of the page, select Save.
