Accessing 8x8 via SSO Login with Organization reverts back to the username screen

Symptom

When logging in to 8x8 using SSO after entering the username and select the option "Login with Organization" it reverts back to the username screen

Resolution

Confirm the Sign-in page URL and IDP Issuer URL/URN matches to the one from Azure SSO Configuration Azure Active Directory admin center 
  1. Login to Azure Active Directory admin center
  2. Select Enterprise applications
  3. Select All Applications
  4. Select 8x8
  5. Click Single Sign-On
  6. Click SAML
  7. Look for the following Login URL and Azure AD Identifier

  8. Login to Admin Console go to Identity and Security
  9. Confirm that the Azure Login URL matches  the 8x8 Sign-in page URL field.
  10. Confirm that the Azure Azure AD Identifier matches the 8x8 IDP Issuer URL/URN field.
  11. Save
  12. Try to login again

Cause

Using an invalid or malformed Sign-in page URL causes the 'Login with Organization" option to fail, so the sign in process starts over prompting for the username. A common mistake is not including the "https://" portion of the URL.
