Enable an Extension to be VCC Dedicated in 8x8 Admin Console

Objective

Enable a user to be "VCC Dedicated" in Admin Console. Agents who are dedicated to handling call traffic pertaining to the contact center will not be interrupted by any other call traffic. Outbound calls will also be available only through 8x8 Contact Center and no longer through 8x8 Work, once this option is active.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Admin Console.
  2. Select Users.
  3. To the left of the desired user, select Edit (pencil icon).
  4. If the user has an 8x8 Contact Center license, scroll down to Virtual Contact Center (VCC) agent settings.
  5. Toggle the setting to Enable VCC Dedicated Extension.
  6. Save your changs.
