Overview
Before making any changes to a chatbot in Cognigy, it is best practice to create a Snapshot. This will allow you to make changes without affecting the live service and create a backup to revert if any changes don’t work.

Procedure
- Log in to your Cognigy platform.
- Go to Deploy > Snapshots.
- Click on New Snapshot and give it a name
- Click Save.
- Go to Deploy > Endpoints.
- Open the endpoint used for the directory.
- Under the Snapshot drop-down, select the new snapshot you created.
You are now free to make any changes without affecting the live flow of your chatbots.
