Managing Your Contacts for 8x8 Service Notifications

Objective

Manage your contacts for customer notifications.

Procedure

Customer notifications are emails sent to you to inform you of upcoming maintenance or service interruptions that may affect you. These emails are identified as being received from 8x8 Customer Notifications (donotreply@8x8.com).

How You Can Be Opted In to Receive These Notifications

  • If you use 8x8 Contact Center, you are automatically opted in.
  • Your 8x8 account manager opted you in on your behalf.

How Your Notification Email Addresses Are Configured

  • If you use 8x8 Contact Center, your notification email addresses are based on your configured maintenance email addresses. If there are no maintenance email addresses configured, the Contact Center admin email address will be used.
  • If your 8x8 account manager opted you in on your behalf, the emails they provide will be used. You should only need to be opted in if you do not have Contact Center service.
With both of the above configurations, your 8x8 primary admin email address will also be included in the email distribution list.

How to Change Your Notification Email Addresses

  • If you use 8x8 Contact Center:
  • If your 8x8 account manager opted you in:
    • Contact your account manager and request for them to modify the email addresses.

To change your 8x8 primary admin email address:

Identify which user is the Primary Admin:
  1. Log in to the Admin Console.
  2. Click on the hamburger menu in the top left (three lines).
  3. Click Roles & Permissions.
  4. Click Assingments.
  5. Click + Add More under the Role section on the left.
  6. Scroll to until the Super Admin (default) Role appears.
  7. Click on the Super Admin (default) Role.
  8. Click Apply Filters.
  9. Click on the user's name (in blue).
  10. Continue below with step 5.
If you already know who the Primary Admin is:
  1. Log in to the Admin Console.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Find the Primary Admin user in the list.
  4. Click on the pencil icon for that user.
  5. Enter the new email address in the Email field.
  6. Click Save.

How to Opt Out of Notification Emails

Regardless of how you were opted in, you will need to reach out to your 8x8 account manager to opt you out.
