Objective
Move an 8x8 Work number to 8x8 Contact Center or vice versa.

Procedure
Note: This process is for users who only have a single Contact Center tenant. If you have multiple tenants, see the product documentation on Setting Up 8x8 Contact Center Service Channels.
Assign a Number
- Log in to Admin Console as an administrator.
- Navigate to 8x8 Contact Center > Channels. (This icon is under the section called Virtual Contact Center (directly below the Work Groups section). If you don't see this section/icon, reach out to your system administrator to update your account permissions.
- Search for the phone number.
- Check the box next to the phone number.
- Select Assign to Contact Center.
- A green banner will display at the top of the page to confirm the phone number has been assigned to 8x8 Contact Center.
Unassign A Number
- Log in to Admin Console as an administrator.
- Navigate to 8x8 Contact Center > Channels.
- Search for the phone number.
- Check the box next to the phone number.
- Select Unassign.
- A green banner will display at the top of the page to confirm the phone number has been unassigned from 8x8 Contact Center.
