Fuze for Chrome Extension EOL on August 5, 2025

Overview

Due to Google policy changes, 8x8 is officially announcing the End-of-Life (EoL) for the Fuze for Chrome extension and its associated services, effective August 5, 2025.

Important:

The Fuze for Chrome extension is already no longer available for installation from the Chrome Web Store, due to policy changes made by Google regarding Manifest V2 extensions.
If the extension has not already been removed from a user’s Chrome browser, it may be temporarily re-enabled until the end of life date is reached. See the Temporarily enable the extension section of this Google article for instructions.
On the release of Chrome 139, the Fuze for Chrome extension will cease to function and the existing workaround will no longer be applicable. The exact timeline is dependent on Google’s release of Chrome 139, and when a user upgrades to the new Chrome version.
