Unable to View Other Users' Presence in 8x8 Work for Desktop

Symptom

You are unable to view your colleagues' presence in 8x8 Work for Desktop.

Procedure

Adjust the Contact Directory Scope in Admin Console settings.
  1. Log in to Admin Console.
  2. Select Users.
  3. To the right of the affected user, select Edit (pencil icon).
  4. Under Basic Information find Contact Directory Scope, which will be set to PBX.
  5. Change this setting to Company.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Log out and log back in to Admin Console.
