How to reset user multi-factor authentication

Objective

In the event that an authentication code is being sent to an old or incorrect email address, use the steps in this article to reset the MFA.

Applies To

  • Admin Console
  • Multi-Factor Authenticator

Procedure

  1. Login to 8x8 Application Panel.
  2. Go to Admin Console.
  3. Go to Users.
  4. Locate the user who needs an MFA reset
  5. Click the three dots icon.
  6. Select Reset user multi-factor authentication.
  7. Have the user to re-login.
