How to Fix the Error: Send Welcome Email Has Failed

Objective

Fix the error message when sending Welcome Email.

Procedure

Important: Make sure the user has no ongoing calls before you proceed with deactivation/reactivation.
This procedure will terminate all calls for the extension and it will force logout the user from 8x8 Work for Mobile and 8x8 Work for Desktop.
  1. Log in to Admin Console.
  2. Go to Users.
  3. Find the user you want to change.
  4. Click on the 3 dots on the right.
  5. Click on Deactivate user.

  6. Click on the 3 dots on the right.
  7. Click on Reactivate user.
  8. Verify that sending the Welcome Email is now successful.
  9. Advise the user that they will need to log back in to any 8x8 Work endpoints.

Additional Information 

This issue happen when the system is not able to detect the user's email address
