How to Configure 8x8 Customer Notifications

Objective

Add, update, or remove email contacts for 8x8 service notifications.

Procedure

Steps for adding, editing, or deleting contacts from the 8x8 Customer Notifications.
  1. Login to 8x8 Application Panel
  2. Click the Contact Center for Configuration Manager tile (with administration access).
  3. Click Home.
  4. Select Profile.
  5. Look for the Maintenance email distribution list.
  6. Enter the desired email address(es).
    • If entering multiple addresses, separate them with a comma (,).
Note: There is a character limit for the field to add contact email addresses. It is best practice to create an email alias or group with a single address to be added here, or keep the list of contacts pared down to a reasonably manageable amount (5 or fewer).
  1. Click Save.

Additional Information 

  • All VCC customers are automatically added to the notification tool. 
  • The notification email addresses will be populated via the maintenance contact field in Contact Center for Configuration Manager. Caveat: If the you have more than one tenant, all maintenance contacts will need to be added to all tenants.
  • The Primary admin email address is always added to the contacts.
