Objective

Assign a phone number to a user or service in the 8x8 Admin Console.

Procedure

To assign a phone number to a user or service in Admin Console, the number must be available in your system.
  1. Log in to your 8x8 Application Panel.
  2. Select Admin Console.
  3. Navigate to the individual user or desired service (Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Ring Groups, etc.).
  4. To the right of the user or service, select Edit (pencil icon).
  5. Under Phone Number, select a number from the drop-down.

Additional Information

If you have available phone numbers that have not been assigned, you will be charged for them, regardless of whether they are in use, because a license is assigned to them. To avoid being charged for these additional unused numbers, you can return the extra numbers and submit a partial cancellation request for the unused licenses.
