Objective
Assign a phone number to a user or service in the 8x8 Admin Console.

Procedure
To assign a phone number to a user or service in Admin Console, the number must be available in your system.
- Log in to your 8x8 Application Panel.
- Select Admin Console.
- Navigate to the individual user or desired service (Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Ring Groups, etc.).
- To the right of the user or service, select Edit (pencil icon).
- Under Phone Number, select a number from the drop-down.

Additional Information
If you have available phone numbers that have not been assigned, you will be charged for them, regardless of whether they are in use, because a license is assigned to them. To avoid being charged for these additional unused numbers, you can return the extra numbers and submit a partial cancellation request for the unused licenses.
