Objective
This article is a brief guide to enabling Auth+ for Public Profit brands, for both new and existing registered US or Canadian SMS campaigns in 8x8 Admin Console.
The primary objective of this is to prevent brand impersonation, which can lead to consumer fraud such as disinformation, smishing, and spoofing.
This is accomplished through brand personnel attestation via a 2FA email message to a brand’s business contact, as specified in the brand's profile.

Procedure
Follow these steps to enable Auth+ for your Public Profit brand.
- Log in to 8x8 Admin Console.
- Click on SMS
- Click Expand Details.
- Scroll down to Brand Contact Details.
- Verify that your Brand Contact Email uses your public company’s domain.
- You may use the same Support Email Address as the Brand Contact Email address by ticking the Use support email for brand contact email checkbox.
- You may enter a different Brand Contact Email address than your Support Email Address. In this case, make sure that this is not a distribution list, as the system will not accept it.
- Once your changes are complete, click Save.

IMPORTANT:

- Once changes are saved, 8x8 will forward your authentication to The Campaign Registry (TCR). TCR will send you an email with step-by-step instructions to complete the email address setup.
- Once the email process is complete, and TCR has processed and approved your Brand, it should appear in 8x8 Admin Console > SMS as Verified, and you can then proceed to the next steps in the SMS campaign registration process.
