Procedure

To configure a Valcom V-9941A overhead paging system for 8x8 services, you begin by ensuring the Switches SW1-1, SW1-2 and SW3 are OFF. Find the guide here.

1. Ensure that Switches SW1-1, SW1-2, and SW3 are OFF. Note: If you would prefer to have an audible tone precede each page, turn Switch SW1-1 ON.
2. Connect the phone line or RJ11 cable to your 8x8 adapter.
3. Use a wire cutter to strip the other end of the cable and attach the wires to the corresponding pins on the Valcom V-9941A (Example shows Cisco SPA122 adapter):
   • Red Wire (Ring): Pin 1
   • Green Wire (Tip): Pin 2
     Note: The black and yellow wires of the cable are not used.
4. Connect the speaker to Pins 6 and 7 on the V-9941A.
