Applies To

1. Ensure that only DIP Switches 1 and 8 are ON.
   Note: If Switches 1 and 8 are ON and the device does not work, try turning DIP Switch 1 OFF.
2. Connect the phone line or RJ11 cable to your 8x8 adapter.
3. Use a wire cutter to strip the other end of the cable and attach the wires to the corresponding pins on the Valcom V-9940:
   • Red Wire (Ring): Pin 17
   • Green Wire (Tip): Pin 16
     Note: The black and yellow wires of the cable are not used.
4. Connect the speaker to Pins 8 and 9 on the V-9940.
