Update Language and Voice in Text-to-Speech with 8x8 Contact Center

Objective

Change your preferred language and which voiceover is used in Say Nodes with text-to-speech in 8x8 Contact Center.

Procedure

  1. In Configuration Manager go to Scripts, select the Phone tab, and from the list select the relevant script.

  2. Select the Script tab and on the Say node, then select edit.

  3. In the Say Node you can edit all the objects described above. Select OK to save the changes in the Say Node.
    Note: When you want to change the language and voice, language should be changed first so you could see the available voices for that specific language.

  4. Once all Say Nodes are updated in your script, select Save to update your script.

What is text-to-speech?

This object converts programmed text and variable objects such as phone number and queue position into speech. The Say object is also interruptible or not. For details, see our documentation on Text-to-Speech.
