Symptom
Assigned number to user does not provide an option for SMS to be enabled. Error might indicate No Number Available for SMS.

Resolution
- Access your PBX system or the relevant section where you manage your phone numbers.
- Verify the status of the number in question to confirm if it is in the midst of porting. Numbers in porting progress may not have all features available until the process is complete. See Screenshot Below:
- If the number is indeed in porting progress, wait for the porting to finish. Porting can take some time, and features like SMS may not be enabled until the process is fully completed.
- In the meantime, test a different number that is not in porting progress to ensure SMS functionality is working correctly on your system.
- Once the porting is complete, attempt to enable SMS again for the number.
- If issues persist, contact support with your MCN or Case ID, Transaction ID, and contact details for further assistance.
Cause
The number to be enabled for SMS is currently in active porting.

Note: If you require immediate SMS capabilities, consider assigning a different number that is fully active and not undergoing porting.
